Uttarakhand announces additional disaster-norm assistance for hailstorm-hit farmers and defers their October–December electricity bills; Kisan Credit Card relief remains a request
The additional assistance will equal the amount payable under existing disaster relief norms for agricultural, horticultural and sugarcane crop losses. Uttarakhand will ask the Union finance ministry to defer affected farmers’ Kisan Credit Card repayments for three months.
